	Cardiff Bay is "Europe's most exciting waterfront". It is also the largest, and most diverse resource site in south-east Wales. A visit to the Bay can offer teachers and students at all levels, from Key Stage 1 of the National Curriculum to post-graduate research, the opportunity to explore and investigate. Areas of interest include history; geography; art; science; citizenship; sociology and urban development and regeneration. On view is a decade of achievements by the Cardiff Bay Development Corporation and stunning examples of the many achievements long before 'Cardiff Bay' replaced 'Tiger Bay'. Butetown History and Arts Centre is an independent local charity based at the hub of these achievements. BHAC is able to offer a range of support and services which will make a success of any field visit or research study.
	SERVICES INCLUDE :- *WALKS & TALKS* BHAC offer guided tours of • the waterfront • the Victorian commercial quarter • the Cardiff Bay Barrage and Penarth Marina • the Cardiff Bay achievement All tours are ideal for a variety of general and special interest groups of all ages and can be further customised to individual group needs. The tours are all on flat terrain and last about seventy-five minutes.

They include family snapshots from the many ethnic groups within the cosmopolitan community; aerial views of the dock system and pictures of the original Victorian streets of Butetown and Tiger Bay docklands.
	Gallery of BHAC Archive Images RESOURCE PACKS Worksheets and activities linked with site visits that can be used on site or back in the classroom. For teachers, BHAC offers a variety of INSETs to ensure that you and your children gain the most from your use of Cardiff Bay in the curriculum. For students and lecturers in higher education BHAC has a small research library including a full set of the community newspaper 'Making Waves'. By arrangement, BHAC can offer a variety of work experience and placements for students at schools and colleges.
